Lack of my outfit posts ? My apology then. Because I don't shop that much now since Uniqlo opened their flagship store here in Jakarta, it has been my personal one stop shopping because it represents me; simple graphic-- more into plain colour tone. It's just simply fits me. A lot.

101 | ORANGE

Really, peoples. I finally decided to put some colors on my blog post. That orange beanie that is actually a giveaway from previous Carhartt's Work in Progress opening store in Plaza Indonesia. I kinda find that it is pretty useful for me to do my night run routine for now. Yet in this post, I tried to put the beanie into my possible casual outfit look in order to make it more playful because the color is pretty popped, though.

096 | LEAP

It's quite a long time since the last time I posted my #OOTD look. Because at the time, I do concentrate more into my contribution as an official blogger for Indonesia Fashion Week 2014. Now, here I am. Well actually, a friend asked me to join that Rexona Invisible Dry Style Challenge with Black and White.
Since my friend thinks that I do a lot of black and whites in my outfit posts and there you go. So what can you do is simply click this link and search for my jumping shot and see it. It's that simple.
And also here, I just bought this V neck tee-- and yes finally I own a V-Neck because I never ever dare to wear V neck. But for this one, I think I should just buy this basic tee from Uniqlo; in collaboration with Asian notable designers and this shirt is designed by Danjyo-Hiyoji. They actually designed 4 graphic tees but since I love simple graphic, this t shirt attracts me and I just grab it.

065 | Lightweight & Leather

OK so ! This could be my last style post in 2013. First time doing outdoor look shoot as well. And 2014 is in front of my eyes, I kinda think to reconstruct my blog layout (again). I don't know, though. I'll surely reconstruct it once I got more free time & good mood to do-- yes, upside down moodswing attack at the end of the year, eh. Well, here I go. My last style post in 2013 :-)
Last Summer, I was inspired a lot with this Belgian designer, Kris Van Assche. He is able to pull the basic fashion items into a higher level. He got good silhouette in his runway looks. So, this look pushed me to do something with headpiece. I rarely wear cap but this Nikicio leather cap from its Fall/Winter 2013 collection is everything.  I also combined the look with this lightweighted trench coat I found in a thrift store and it has a good condition; I just directly pack it and bring it home. And the price ? IDR 75K—US$ 8 only. Pretty good price, hmm ?

055 | Gifted Thrifted, and Some Life Updates

And I finally got my chance to do thrift shopping session on the weekend. Thrift shopping is always exciting and it makes you curious in what item you could get. And I just got the navy parka that I think it could be a good outerwear for the anomaly weather. It's quite versatile because I am able to match the parka either with shorts or jeans. And I am trying to do something like an outdoor look with these duotone XSML basic tee and a black shorts.

LIFE UPDATES

Officially got my Bachelor of Arts from Bina Nusantara School of Design. Dad flew away from somewhere at Eastern Asia just to attend my graduation but he had to catch the flight at the SAME day right after the graduation ceremony is over so .. There is no family portrait at the moment but I'm beyond happy that he was there to see me :") Yet best friends came and they gave me these beautiful flowers. Uncountable thanks to my best friends :*

Office life is getting better, apparently. Knowing that sometimes you are able to meet some of the biggest name at the industry and knowing a bit about their personality is such a good thing to happen. Just like this one, I got my chance to meet the proud Indonesian fashion photographer, Miss Nicoline Patricia Malina who gained her success not only in Indonesia, but in Europe as well. And seriously, she is very humble and friendly !

053 | Shred

Back from its last Fall's collection, this Nikicio shredded denim jacket has always been my favourite item since the first time I saw the collection; and also the most wearable thing I am able to wear, though. But back at the time, I had limited money so I decided to wait until they cut the price (Well, who doesn't love discounted sale, eh ?). But the plus thing I can find in Nikicio is, they got timeless looks like I can wear it in a long time. I got the blazer from Mixte 2012 and I still wear it like until now. So, this is my mix and match.

Outer: Nikicio | T Shirt: H&M | Jeans: Uniqlo | Shoes: Nike Roshe

And I finally got my dark gray Nike Roshe (well, it looked like a black, though). I could not find the camo one but black is also good as well.  Good texture, good design, and also flexible for running and casual style. I'll save more money to get another one. Hopefully.

044 | Uniform

So still, am here still talking about my office environment. As you might read on my previous post back about my office outfit selection, here I'm trying to show my favourite office looks. I'm just trying to be as simple as I can, and as comfortable as I can but still, portraying my personal taste. Some of you might think that it's too simple to be called "style" but hmm, my eyes worked better in monochromatic. Here I go.

I usually bring these 2 bags everyday. The backpack is for my laptop; because I'd rather to work with my laptop, and the black tote bag is used for my lunch box, tumbler, and my laptop charger. Got the backpack at the newly opened store H&M. Been looking for a simple black backpack with volumized texture and when I dropped down to store and I found it, I just directly grab it.
Then, THE GOODS DEPT black tote bag is one of my most wanted item since I worked here. It was out of stock when I entered the company then I got one back at the 3rd store opening party at Lotte Shopping Avenue last week.

Tops: ZARA Man | Bottoms: Uniqlo | Backpack: H&M | Shoes: Converse

Tops & Bottoms: Uniqlo | Tote bag: THE GOODS DEPT | Shoes: Converse (Yes, I never wash my Converse, though. Just let it be ..)

Then how about my daily office looks ? Here are some of my common office look. It's just so simple since I'm just assigned to work at the headquarter and not too much getting out from the office, though. A three quarter sleeve with black jeans and Converse. I usually bring both bags but somehow I bring one of them as well. One thing I like from creative industry is, no one limits you to wear satin trousers, buttoned up shirt and moccasins to office. And apparently, I feel free.

037 | Navy and Beige

If you think that I only have black, white and grey on my closet, well it's not really. This three quarter sweat pants is quite good for laid back meet up with my friends and I tried to combine with sleeveless shirt & thrifted parka I bought couple years back & it's kinda neglected because I have no idea how could I mix and match it with any other items. Until I realize that the sweat pants I bought has similar color with my thrifted parka so ..

Sleeveless shirt : Unbranded | Parka : Thrifted | Sweat pants : Uniqlo | Slip on : Wakai

Thrifting is kinda like my guilty pleasure because if you're lucky enough, you could get great item with low price. I got this thrifted parka for about IDR 25 (approximately US$ 2) and back at the time, I just have no idea why I bought the parka and waiting the right time to wear. And at last, the sweat pants matched the colour pretty well.

033 | Not so Catalogue

As I told you before, I am doing a little styling project with my high school friend, an aspiring fashion stylist and his name is Radhitio Anindhito. There would be 4 posts of my styling project with him and there I go, look number one.

Long sleeve : Danjyo Hiyoji | Self tailored drop crotch shorts | Converse hi top (2010)

Yes, I don't think I should pose like a catalogue model in my outfit post so let me do some Betawi inspired pose in hoping to see the drop crotch shorts effect when I wear it. And also, I always into the old Danjyo Hiyoji collection because it fits my personal style and it's very comfortable in my body.

Anyway, Dito's styling work has already featured in several local magazines here and just in case you would like to see his styling sets, go follow his Instagram --> [ @walktalkdress ]. And also, more posts are already on the waiting list then !

028 | Two Shades of Grey

Eid Mubarak holiday ! Sale is everywhere and apparently, Uniqlo has been my recent favourite label since its arrival in this country. Really fits my personal preference of my outfit because its pretty clean & laid back.
Long sleeve & Cargo pants : Uniqlo | Sandal : MUJI

Japanese brands attracts my attention lately just because the way the Japanese put the essence of clean design into a higher level and I think this cargo pants is pretty friendly to wear in any occasions. I am able to wear this in semi formal or either just to hang out with my friends. Oh, and the texture of the long sleeve's fabric is such a champion. Totally fits on this tropical country.

Oh ! I do have a little thing to do. A styling collaboration with my fellow high school friend, an aspiring fashion stylist Radhitio Anindhito. I'm going to post some outfit posts with his styling since I personally think that I need some styling advice and he would like to help me. (Oh, and I saw my pageviews track of my blog and it's pretty much readers here. And if I could ask you (silent) readers--haha for a favor, can you drop some comments ? A single comment would make me smile a bit more. Really :D). So now, you could probably hang on  and prepare your Raya feast :-)

026 | Lesser Sunda's Pattern

It's August already ! So let's go to the main point. I just got a little present from my campus senior just because I got good score in my final project *blushing for a bit*. She is Irena Riyadi, a friend of mine, a young graphic designer, a pattern junkie lives in Jakarta. She previously told me that if I gained the best score for my final project, she would design me a pattern and I am able to use print and that pattern in any medias.

Say hi to my little gift !

This is the original design. I requested her a pattern that would able to portray my heritage. And since my Dad is originally from Kupang; one of the city in Lesser Sunda Islands, I requested her an inspired Tenun Ikat NTT (Nusa Tenggara Timur) kind of pattern and always in black & white. And she made this. I always love Iren's pattern composition. She divided 2 designs here. The light one & the dark one. And for now, I choose to use the light design because it's more ethnic and I'm gonna print it in my self made plain tote bag.

The printed pattern on the tote bag

T-Shirt : Uniqlo | Jeans : Zara Man (2011) | Unused white fabric as an outer skirt | Slip-on : Wakai
Self made tote bag; pattern graphic by Irena Riyadi

I flashback myself into my time as a freshman in university. Tote bag was always my favourite bag, it's simply because it fits big sketchbook and art supplies. I rarely use tote bag now but after this, you might see me wearing this tote bag more often. Thank you for the lovely pattern, Iren !

025 | July's Outfits

The last day of July. Another greatful month I had. A sudden idea popped out from my brain, thinking to make a simple collage from my outfit posts I did this month. Personally, I think I did a right thing by reconstructing my blog and start it again from the beginning. I am now able to express my visual preferences; it's monochromatic. It does not mean I am colour blind or what. It's pure about preferences since most of my gadgets and stuffs on my room are either black, white or grey.

My mix and matches for July

I did not shop that much this month. I went to a thrift store near my neighbourhood, found an old XL sized hoodie and I cut both of the sleeves and the bottom side of the hoodie to re-enact the mood of Juun J's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. I also went out with three quarter sleeve shirt I bought from Uniqlo. And I wore this redundantly since I really like its fabric.

A short shorts is still my dominant item I wore at this month's unpredictable weather. Once I am trying to clean my closet yet I found my old graphic hoodie that I don't even know that I actually have it. Sometimes, cleaning out your walking closet might drives you into a sudden treasure hunt and take a look at the stuff I got !

August is about to come and I am still running on my freelance projects and I recently having fun while working it. August is about to be Independence Day, and Eid Mubarak. Yet I do still expect for more day offs, hmm.

022 | Computer Apparel

So, it's been 2 weeks after I get my Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication. Recently busy with my pre-graduation stuffs, also got some freelance projects right after I graduate (Yay !), meanwhile I'm still looking for any other possible opportunities, probably ? To refresh this blog, let me post a personal look today.
Jacket : Uniqlo | Self made drop crotch shorts | Shoes : Converse (2011) | iPad Apparel : Verre

Now, let me tell you a little good thing from this look. Here I go. I would like to share a bit about this promising Indonesian brand, another business that has been developed by one of my (literally) favourite lecturer in my university. Say hi to Verre Compparel. Or if some of you might confuse with the definition of Compparel is; it stands for Computer Apparel.

I've been wanted to have one of the item back at the time I saw the product at Brightspot Market 2011. It's prety simple why. Since I was a visual design student and I am just another Apple fan boy, I often thinking that why my gadgets are like .. Naked ? Also, since I'm a quite obsessive-compulsive, putting sticker on my laptop or iPad surface is totally not a good thing for me because just in case when I put the sticker out from my laptop, the surface would definitely gone like "euwh those kind of glue stickers" whatsoever.

My personal design I did for my personal iPad

But when I knew that this brand Verre offers a very good innovation in my opinion, I started to think like okay, let's try this. You literally need no glue to put it on your Apple gadgets (Okay, it's also available on Blackberry, Samsung or even Nintendo DS). What else ? It's removable and washable as well. And I do like this kind of innovation like, seriously. Also, I got my chance to put my own design into it. And I choose my personal line art illustration into my iPad and Batik inspired illustration to my laptop (I promise, am gonna post it very soon !).
Verre's smooth surface product is just more than good because for me, I need no additional case either for my iPad & laptop as well. And at the end, it's kinda good to know that my gadgets are no longer naked !

Psst !
Just in case you would like to spend some cash for this good local brand, they're having a good 20% discount sale at their online shop until Aug 15, and also 15% - 30% at The Goods Dept Pondok Indah Mall 2 and Pacific Place. More info ? Just click their website and Facebook page.
